Default Another new V20 owner

Just purchased my V20 Steplift a month or so ago. What a pleasure. I am a converted small Jon boat owner and got this ride for Lake Erie in Pa. It is an I/O with a Mericrusier 228 and 9.9 kicker. It came with an autopilot, electric downriggers and all the guy's Walleye fishing tackle. I can get it to 35mph on the GPS. (is that good/bad). This board was the deciding factor in me buying the rig. Seems like everyone who has one is in love with it. I have had it out 3 times in 3-4 foot waves and stayed high and dry. Looking forward to sharing experiences and talking with you folks. As soon as I figure out how to insert some photos, I will.

cgord, you made a great choice, IMHO the V20 is a best in class. I have owned mine for 73 OB cuddy for 24 years now and have never fallen out of love with it. It seems you got the whole pkg. Although I have not been on in a while, this is the best site for all info and things V20, and a reeeelly great bunch of guys too.. (I need to suck up a bit...)

You made a fine choice for the Lake Erie chop. As you know, it is a tough chop to deal with sometimes given the shallow waters. You just seem to get a different wave pattern than you do in the ocean. I think your V will handle Erie admirably. Good luck, have fun, and welcome to the site.

cg the V20 is a great boat for lake Erie. I fish the western basin and it has been good to me for 4 years. I bought from a guy in loraign(sp) Ohio so the boat has always been on Lake Erie. This is the best site for info on anything about your V20. Welcome aboard! Billy Mac
