Default Cork Or Foam ?

do you prefer cork or foam grips, and why?

looking at a sweet little spinner with cork grips. havent had cork in i cant remember how long.

Light tackle, I like cork. Heavier boat rods, EVA foam or hypalon is okay as long as it's not too big in diameter (personal preference). Surf rods and some boat rods, cork tape is nice. The nice thing about the cork tape is that it provides a good grip surface. If it's too small in diameter, just give it another layer. And when it wears, just strip the old and re-wrap new cork tape.

I'm a fan off cork grips on all my rods except for the big stuff. I just like the feel of cork when I'm holdnig a rod for extended periods of time...

You cant beat the natural feel and grip of cork, but one of my favorite heavy rods is an old solid fiberglass True Temper (I bet it is 40 years old or more) with a wood handle.....it just fits my hand perfect.

I hate cork and out of the 45 or so poles I own only one is cork and I bought that at a yard sale for cheap

My favorite hand held rod has a cork handle. My trolling rods all have foam. I also prefer a plastic butt end on my cork handles, keeps the ends from braking down. Billy Mac
