Default glass question

i have been doing some more research. everywheres i read i read that use epoxy when going over old with new glass. but that you cant use epoxy when using chop mat because the binding agent isnt compatable with epoxy resin. therefore leaving me with the following conclusion either use polyester or vinlyester or just use epoxy without the chop. any one use polyester on old boats without problem.

yeah you right, i talked with a local glass guy who does really great work and he said he uses iso-poly resin. then you talk to suppliers and they say use epoxy on old. i just e-mailed another supplier and i guess i will see what they say to use. if the epoxy was not so expensive.
