As I hope none of you have this problem but i'm sure all have or will if you own a Johnson / Evinrude, If your motor is miss firing and running rough or no fire at all check your flywheel for broken, missing, or loose magnets. I've had a few in the yard that either had crazy firing issues or no fire or no battery charging or tach. It was all due to loose and broken magnets. If you call OMC they offer a Magnet epoxy kit for $14.99 per magnet which doesn't hold either. Just go buy a box of Davcon 5 Min Epoxy and glue them all in with it. Avail at Lowes for $14.95 a box. I just repaired 3 or the 4 flywheels i had broke with only half the epoxy in the box. No they don't have a certain location but they do need a fingers spacing or line up with holes and flywheel flutes.
