Default New titlt switch installed

Got the new , new tilt switch installed today.

If you remember right I got one meant for a Evinrude and drilled the hole and mounted it before finding out that the used switch was junk!! *>:(

So after not finding a new switch that I wanted to pay for, I decided to get another like I got from reel.

Someone asked for a pic of the wiring?? So here it is.

Like Skools said just go to the relay box and go color for color, worked great!

I used a white wire for red here as I was out of red and I wasn't driving 6 miles to get any, I am cheap!!

I mounted to side of motor using the mount hole from other switch to snake wire in. then sealed the hole with some electrician's putty

And from 5 feet away it looks great!! *;)

Nice looking job there MJ. I have been thinking about putting one on my boat so I dont have to climb in and out to tilt the motor up.

I looked at the one you found on Ebay but the wires are to short for me. I could extend them but I'd rather have them all one piece.

That looks good, MJ...how's the switch attached?...

Before I sent the switch to MJ, I used it on my '86 Rude ... but instead of attaching to motor, I mounted it high and inside the splashwell ... when new, there was plenty of wire to get to the junction MJ shows ... just another idea if yer thinkin' about goin' this route...either will work fine ;) ...

I have some super duty water proff Velcro, thats how its attachet.

They sell the switches two ways, one is like I bought with a short wire. And the other is sold as a remote switch and comes with a longer wire.

Mine came short vacum sealed from factory.
