Default New Dash

howdy i want to redo my dashboard here is a picture of my dash it is not the most accurate because its about a year old and i have added a new vhf radio to the port con and an xmradio system to the port con the loran is gone. but what i want to do is incorperate all that stuff over to the starbored side and input the vhf radio and gps into the dash to make it look flush and replace the instraments (spelling?)and move them around to fit everything. Tell me what you think here is the picture i have ( i might take it out tomarrow and have a fresh picture) but until then here you go:

Looks fine!! But if you want to start freash get a piece of 1/2 starboard and make a new dash, then install the way you want!!

I don't have a close up here at work but here you go, works nice!!

Fishbone...think about this...just above your wheel, the dash goes flat for several inches, then angles up (where all your gauges are now)...what if you take a piece of 1/2'' Starboard and cut to fit over the entire dash from top to just in front of the wheel...fill in sides w/ triangles of Starboard...then you got a big, single surface to flush- mount all you want...little gauges across bottom, FF and tach up top maybe w/ room for flush VHF...once ya get the new cut and fitted, cut away all existing dash for clearance behind new...leave just enough ''lip'' around outter edges to screw from underneath to catch new...just a thought... ;) ...

Either way sounds good and it'll get ya lots more room... ;) 8) ...

...if ya wanna get ALL the room ya got, from 1/2'' Starboard cut a ''gusset'' that fits/ attaches just inside side windshield to support widening dash (as mentioned above) to go across open space now between dash and side-window...would add several inches width to whole thing... ;) ...

You can get black Starboard if that's your preference.
