Funniest Fishing Experience

Reading Brian M's rock-hunting/outdrive post made me laugh, so I thought I'd share a funny little story that me and one of my buds experienced while fishing the point.

Well, it was gettin on up there in the evening and neither one of us had gotten a nibble all day - nor anyone else. You know how it is, it was one of those days when you couldn't catch a fish in a fish market...
Anyhow, my buddy's rod started lookin real heavy on the tip and seemed to be bobbing up and down, so he decided a little hookset was in order.

After burying the hook in the beast, the fight was on. "I got one!" "It feels like a decent sized bottom fish - maybe a seamullet." "It's fighting pretty good" he exclaimed.

Sure enough it was a nice one. A very nice one to be precise. After a long battle, he finally raised it out of the suds we were both speachless. :o

It was a work glove, and he had hooked it by the middle finger no less. On top of that, all of the other fingers were nicely folded down and the thumb was sticking out. ;D

Well, I think you get the picture! We'll never forget that "gigging" experience for as long as we live!

So, let's hear those funny moments. I could sure use a laugh right now!

Well i guess i will share one of my favorites.

It was a good start of the day out to Wings Neck, Buzzards Bay.

We got a few fluke and the wind started to kick as it does all the time in that area in the afternoon. It was getting lumpy, and at that time I had a 17 foot Hawkline.

It was I and two Buddy's. Charlie and I had been fishing toghter on his boat for like 5 years before I bought my boat and we were not new to this weather!

But for some reason Charlie wasn't feeling well and got seasick for the first time ever?

Well he sticks his head over board to do his thing and then he almost jumps out of the boat??
I say whats the matter?? He mumbled something and Manny and I say what was that? He mumbles something again?? I say what the heck are you trying to say??

To which he moves his had from his mouth and says I lost my F%^* Teeth!! Well we started to laugh so hard I almost wet my self!!

We still Laugh are *** off every time we talk about it!

I'd like to see the fella's face that reeled those teeth in a few years after that.... ;)
