GULP baits??

Do any of you guys use these new baits by Berkley? They are the biggest craze down here right now. It is so bad a couple members of my club run down and by them all up from Academy as soon as they get a shipment in.

That is what I have been catching my trout on. I can definitely testify they are worth every penny! They also outfish live baits...Ive seen it done personally. We were fishing for flounder and one was using live shrimp, the other GULP. The GULP guy was stackin the flounder up in the bottom of the boat at least 5:1 over the live bait guy. :o

It also happend on the beach when I was catching trout last monday. I had on a Cochahoe and my buddy a Gulp. I walked the whole beach with nothing to show. He yelled at me and I ran to where he was. He said try it here, and I did...nothing. ??? Here take a GULP he said, so i took one and wham....trout time baby. 8)

Anyways, just thought I would share as I havent heard anyone mention them on here.....you might be missing out. 8)

Yeah, those are the shiznit around here too. Berkly's making a killin on em.

They are amazing just remember to seal up the package or they will shrink up like a rasin. I have some from last year in the fish box that still catch fish . We also use the herring and bait runners for Mahi behind a blue or green skirt and they outfish anything I have ever used..The trout and puppy drum under my dock fight over them..even if its just pieces .Frank

i have always been a firm believer in live bait. i would through cocahoes when the terd hustlers got to thick. since katrina there are no more bait shops here and last fall when the reds were runnin the bays there wasnt a live shrimp to be had. so i got me a bag of those gulps. RESULTS! i was surprised. those things realy work! especially the darker colors, round here. the only prob i have found with them is finding them. every time i go to academy or walmart thier sold out. its like some jerk keeps going down there and buying them all up! i have to say, results aside, i miss the days of tossing out some live shrimp behind a popping cork or a cajun thunder, kicking back and waiting while my shrimpies do all the work for me
