Default 1989 v20 cuddy 130 outboard Trim Tabs Question

What size should I install.. electric or hydraulic. Any info would be helpful. TY

Unfortunately, that's one of those questions that I believe has no real "correct" answer. There are members of this board that swear by both types. Personally, I have Hydraulic units and I like them, but I know there are several boaters here that have electrics and like them also. I think that electric's are a little easier to install, but both types are relatively easy.

I forget what size is the most popular, 8 by something, but they are plenty big for a v20. If you want basic and simple, its hard to beat Bennett hydraulic tabs, If you want indicators and auto up function, Lenco has a better setup. I've replaced a bunch of lenco actuators over the years, have only replace two bennet hydraulic cylinders. Bennett electric haven't been on the market long for me to have an opinion. If you leave the boat in the water, use hydraulic tabs. Boat levelers are slow to react. K planes are the best, but are serious overkill for a V20
