Default Step lift restoration

Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. I bought a 1974 v20 steplift a few months ago that needed a lot of work. So far I have torn the old transom out and have plywood cut and fit as well as some other pieces heavily sanded to try and match the curve. My plan is too epoxy the two layers and filler panels then spread a verry generous amount of thickened epoxy (fibers and powder) over everything and glue the original fiberglass panel from the hull back on. The pic only has one layer of the plywood and I’ll be at work for another month so it’s all I have for pics for now. My next step is the stringers. I was thinking about cutting the top off and chainsawing out the old then seal new wood with epoxy spread some thickened epoxy on it, slide it in and clamp it to the existing glass. Then glass over the top. Let me know what y’all think, Especially if this sounds like a terrible plan.
Thanks
