I have a V20 I/O project boat (I will refer to it as Vitamin-Sea) I bought it back in 2008 and life had me too busy to get to it. Now it is game on, but one of the axles on the trailer rusted out. So, last week I bought another V20 for the trailer (I will refer to it as Fathom.) That V20 needs an outboard (have you priced a used 150+ horse outboard!) Anyway, I am going to take the new trailer and put it under Vitamin-Sea, then replace the axle and put Fathom on it. After that I need to clean the fuel tank.... And the list goes on, and on.
Glad to be a member, Thanks!

I have attached pics of "Vitamin-Sea"

Default "Fathom"

Here are some pics of "Fathom" I drug her home last weekend and then pulled her through a car wash. It looks good, but it is NOT! The previous owner painted the topsides with white bed line. 80% washed off. I am going to try to paint it with thinned out paint remover, let it soak, them power wash it off. I am buying a good power washer I guess. (Any suggestions?)
I plan to replace the axle on the old trailer and put this boat on it. Paint it and try to flip it. Save another V20

This is the goal! I plan to build a hard top out of plywood and 1x4's. Build it in place, then sand it smooth and round edges. Then I will take it off and fiberglass it with two coats of matting. Paint it white then bolt it on the boat.

Hey JohnnyMax, welcome to the forum! I love seeing before and after pics after a good scrubbing. It is amazing what a difference cleaning makes - I'd consider that sweat equity.

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you, but I like your plan. These guys on the forum have done about everything so just post up if/when you need help and I'm sure someone can assist.

So Frustrated. I have projects in front of my offshore boat. I got one down. I got the wife's 98 Corvette running, next I have to rebuild a soft transom on a 17' Renkin Ski boat. The wife will be appeased, then I will focus on MY BOATS!

Welcome JohnnyMax. I look forward to following your progress, and admire your goals.

I'm new to V20 ownership myself, and I'm looking forward to a great ride!

Cheers!
