Default Recommendations for deck coating, paint...?

I may want to perfect my V21 deck.....

I've read about the various coatings, paint, some say gel coat best, and goal would be:

1. Easy to apply over the existing non skid deck with other areas taped off.
2. Won't fade - will stay white.
3. Cleans easily - here's where I read some hard to clean. No thanks - I want it bright white after each cleaning.

Durabak, Kiwigrip, Awlgrip, TuffCoat rubberized coating, or just plain white gel coat ?
Any experienced opinions appreciated.

What is down there now?

If its the original gelcoat, what's wrong with it. Reason i ask, i had to replace the deck beneath my pedestal chairs. Did it with epoxy, not realizing i could not gelcoat over it. So i went with paint. Once you paint, you will always have to repaint at some point. I'm scared of the rubber coatings, because if you don't like it a major pia to get off.

Rustoleum Topside. Buy it at Home Depot. Like 14 bucks a quart.

Easy to apply, tough, easy to touch up, super easy to clean.

Once you go with a topside paint you'll never want gel coat again. At least not on an old boat.

Mine is original gel coat, still in excellent condition.

Just a few very small marks that don't clean off here and there.
Go ahead, tell me I'm a perfection freak, it's a boat, used for fishing etc. I deserve it !

Cool

Well, as everyone (almost everyone) here knows, I used Upol Truck bed liner. looks great, cleans up easily and is soft on the bare feet. Oh, and did I mention that it's also a non-skid, so the chances of falls from slips are just about zero.

The marina that I bought my boat from recommended the product. Said he used it exclusively on any boat he was recoating the deck on. Showed me a boat he had done a few years back (his own). That was good enough for me.

I bought it off of eBay, although I'm sure there are other places to buy it also.

Merry Christmas!!

imo...don't mess with it until there is some repair that you have to cover.
