Default Crazy good detailing

After about 15 years of messing with cleaning/ compounding/ polishing/ waxing seems I've discovered what may be the very best combination for crazy clear gel coat shine !

If curious, see the pic I posted on " winter to do" list........for how clearly you see what's reflected in the shine.......

No swirl marks, mirror like shine that my wife said " that's the shiniest I've ever seen your boat" !!

Best of all, just 2 products involved.

The pics look great. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any details about the process you're talking about, though. How'd you do it?

Pleased to share.........products
1. 3M Machine Polish # 05996 comes in 1 quart yellow container. Not cheap... $ 40 +/-
2. Nu Finish " The once a year car polish comes in orange container, black letters.
3. Electrical buffer with one wool bonnet
4. Clean rags

1. Wash boat
2. 3M Machine Polish.........apply modest amount of polish to dampened bonnet, and begin working a section of hull ( approx 4'-5' sections ) with buffer running SLOWLY. Overlap your pattern, take your time working the buffer left to right, then up down. Work the wet polish, stop before it dries.
4. Wipe the wet / drying polish off with wet rag. Just wipe it right off, then use another rag to finish the wipe off.
5. Nu Finish " Apply BY HAND with clean well dampened cloth to same area as buffed. Wipe off / buff BY HAND with soft dry cloth such as undershirt, and it's done......Wow, what a shine !

Best combination I've worked BY FAR - no comparison to anything else I've used......and I've tried a lot of product.

Forgot the most important steps for the rest of us

1. Drop boat off at bgreene's
7. Pick up boat at bgreene's

I'm gonna wax mine one day(Been saying that for 25 years). I have a neighbor with a 25 Parker that washes, waxes, and details his 2-3 times a year.
That's 2 more times a year he uses it.

Did all pics come through or just the one showing the reflection ?
The other pics of boat in street were from last year.

Pictures are all there in the link.

Does the buffer work well on the front deck reaction surface?
