Default Yamah in-lin 4 cylinders

I mentioned this in my repair thread, but decided to start a new thread over here in performance on this subject.

How about the new light weight good-on-gas in-line 4 cylinder 4 strokes by Yamaha? Looking at 150hp or 175hp (rather have 200 but not bad enough to spend thousands more. The weight is only about 10 lbs heavier than my current 150 2 stroke. Performance bulletin on these motors are insane.

In my case I'd essentially cutting my fuel burn directly in half!

Compare to an old bulletin on my engine with comparable hull & weight:

So there ya go BGREENE, with the 60 gallon tank (I've actually gotten 64+ gallons in it once when it was bone dry) this engine I'd have RANGE to hit the canyons 60+ miles out. I would guesstimate somewhere in the 4 - 5 mpg range overall with my setup.
