Default Murrells Inlet 11/7/2015 Report

Left the dock at first light with my daughter and her boyfriend. First time out for him and only the 2nd time for her. Beautiful ocean with a comfortable ride out to 100' for a bottom trip. Air temp reached 80 + with 75 degree water temp in the deep. Fished 90 - 120 ft (50 miles from rocks) in various spots only to finish up right where we began in 100 ft. Fished a total of 4 hours putting our limit of vermillion snapper, 2 big triggerfish, couple of bsb, couple of grunts and daughters first mahi in the boat. Mahi was around 8 lbs or so. She was really pumped. The final bite of the day was a double amberjack smackdown resulting in 1 spooled rod (daughter) and her BF was able to land a 50+ lb AJ which is a BIG fish boat record for Blue Runner. It was a hoss, nearly 4ft in length. Released back to the sea. Rode out 26 mph and 30 mph on the way in. GPS started getting faint and pixelated near the end....guess it is going out. Lost the VHF (new ICOM just last year) had backup handheld, and blew a tire on the way home that bent the trailer fenders. $$$$$$$$$ but well worth it!!!!

Have pics...no way to post. I have to buy a laptop cuz work has this one LOCKED down. lol

I still have plenty of AJ in my freezer from a 30 lber we kept a few months back. I let my daughter's BF decide keep or release and he said he'd like to let it go so I was cool with that. AJ is really good. The worms are freaky but the one's I've seen only had them in the back part of the tail.
