my favorite weekend of the year...

this is the best weekend of the year, lot of excitement in the air. folks dressed in holiday attire, decorating the homes in traditional colors, grills going up and down the block. families gathered around the television sets.

the start of college football

i understand it's not really celebrated north of the mason dixon line, so our northern brothers might be unaware. hopefully they will come onboard in the future.

oh yeah, having monday off for labor day is ok too
