|  wooden trim on helm  wheel 
			
			does any one know how to remove the wooden trim on the helm wheel? i dont want to break it  thanks jet |

			The center piece of teak? Should be an allen set screw holding it. Its located on the side of the center hub about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch down. Thats if you have a destroyer type design.

			If you are talking about a wood rim it may not be readily removable.... The one I had, the wood was riveted on.

			Mine has an allen screw that falls out all the time because I keep forgetting to put some locktite on it.

			i did remove the allen key, but it still wouldn't come out. today i try to spin it out and the plug snap off the wooden base. i guess its time for some gorilla glue to keep it together.  thanks |

			Mine broke out one day at sea.  I never have found the right size replacement.  PLanned on just making one.... one day.
