Default After market or not !!!

Hey all, I am looking to pick up a starter for my late 80's 175 evinrude. Does anyone have any opinion / experience on the DB Electric products on eBay ? Or should I go go with the Arco starter for almost double the price

I've had db alternators on both engines in my Monte Carlo for 3 years with no problems and we put a db starter on my friend's merc 3.0 again with no problems.

DB is china import stuff. For the most part they are pretty good, but you do get a few junk ones. I will say I have dealt with DB in the past, and will buy from them again in the future. They have gone above and beyond a few times now for me when a problem arose, and that is all you can ask of a company. ARCO does make the GOOD stuff though, and there is a reason it costs more, because it is worth it. ARCO is going to be on par with a mexico reman part or the like whereas ARCO will be as good or better than the OEM parts were.

ARCO products all day long. As stated above, there is a reason their parts are more money, because they are worth it.
