Confused?

I posted this on Facebook, but figured I would post this here as well. And to let you know, Patrick is my 2 year old son.

After being at the park today, I can honestly say I am confused and racism is alive and well. There was a woman there with her twins that were about 3 or 4. One of them was infatuated with Patrick, and that was the one he was riding the purple dinosaur with. The other one wanted nothing to do with him, and kept looking at him like he was an annoyance taking up her space. Before we left I heard her call him a dam cracker. This is wierd and confusing how one twin could cling to him and want to play with him, while her TWIN sister wanted nothing to do with him and called him a dam cracker(keep in mind she is MAYBE 4 at the most).


The truly confusing part is there mother was whiter than me, and you could tell they were half black as well. So explain to me how one girl could be fine as could be with Patrick, but her TWIN SISTER who's OWN MOTHER is white as casper would be racist against my son because he's white, yet the woman she was there with calling mom was whiter than Patrick?


Then again, the mother wouldn't look at me or say a word to me or Patrick, and looked at us just like her one daughter did that wanted nothign to do with Patrick. So your whiter than flour, but because you obviously had children with a black man, your black and whites are beneath you. And this is just a fine example of how divided this nation has become, and proof racism is alive and well from ALL skin colors towards ALL skin colors.

I have said time and time again that the most RACIST people in America are the blacks. PERIOD!!

You don't here whites referring to themselves as Polish-Americans, or German-Americans, or you name a country-Americans... but blacks call themselves African-Americans. They deliberately portray themselves as being different, and then blame whites when they are looked at as outcasts.

You don't here white comic's making racist jokes in their routines. You don't here white people constantly bringing up Obama's color (except for the media of course, which is trying to destroy the Republicans by playing the race card as much and as often as they can. But that's a different topic for a different time). If you live around blacks all you here in their conversations is racial remarks. Name me ONE, just ONE, white person like Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton that make their living by being race baiters and agitators.

Look, I'm not saying that blacks are not without some justification on some issues. Traditionally they make less money, and traditionally they live in less affluent houses, etc. But a HUGE amount of their problems are caused by themselves. They are the ones killing themselves in the cities. The statistics of young black males being killed in gang wars by other young black males is appalling. THEY teach their young to be race haters, as was evidenced by your encounter Ferm. How else would a 4 year old even know what a cracker was? They learned it in their home.

If you are taught to hate, if you are taught racism by your parents conversations, then chances are you too will be a racist when you grow up. I fully realize it is taught and picked up from there home. It just floored me that one twin could be so hateful of my son while the other was more than willing to play with him. And the mother who is FAR whiter than me treated me as though she was black and had a chip on her shoulder. Just blew me away that because she has obviously been with a black man, she all of the sudden feels she is black and hates whites.

As to your point of races, I'm 1/3rd NATIVE AMERICAN. I don't go around beating my drum demanding special treatment for it, and I don't have a chip on my shoulder for what happened less than a century ago(my dad's mother was full blooded Cherokee, and was part of the Cherokee that refused to go on the trail of tears and hid in Alabama to avoid it until they were ousted as indians in the middle of the night in 1934 and driven from town to Florida). It just blows me away how she being as white as flour could have a chip on her shoulder towards somebody of mostly her own skin color.

Anyway I went to a predominately black school as a child and also got buttwhoopins just for being White on a Tuesday. Personally I do think they are more racist than just about any other race. Thats a fact Ive experienced personally and professionally. I dont hold it against them cause they're not all the same. I had a very well-spoken and considerate black guy come in the store yesterday and I had to make it a point to ask my co-worker who also grew up in the same conditions, why cant BP's be more like Jerry? He wasnt "acting" white but he also wasnt acting like a thug. He is just a decent person though I know he was ostracized growing up becasue he didnt drag his wallet pocket on the ground or wear his hat with a flat bill (which looks f'n stupid btw).....

I think you gonna find it everywhere Ferm even on the playground and even from 4yo......Were just always gonna have sh*tty people. White, black, hispanic, etc.....

I've dealt with plenty of black people with extreme racism, and dealt with many more who are some of the best people around. It just blew me away how this woman who is more caucasian than me could be racist towards her own skin color because she's had a black(at least half black) inside of her? I know to many this will sound racist, but it's just the truth. My wife remided me when she got home about the time this summer where a white mother had her half black child(who was much older) bullying our son. He was pushing him down in the waterpark, and just trying to be mean, and the white mother thought it was fine because our son was white and he was "just playing". But our son turned around and yelled no in his face when he went to push him down again and he's a bully because he said something to her much older child who was black.

And this is a semi recent development where I live. When I was a kid we all got along and played, and didn't feel privalaged because our skin was a different color. Our current climate has sure divided this once great nation. I know at one time it was bad here, but in all honesty it has gotten almost to that point again.

i used to work with a guy that his mother was american and his father was from Egypt. His skin was lighter than mine after a summer tan. He would always fill in his nationality as African American. The people behind the counters would question him on it. If they were black, he would question their ancestry and right to claim African American, He would site all the know regions that dark skinned people come from(not all from Africa) and start claiming racial bias and discrimination because of his skin color. The guy was pretty smart(one of the better engineers I worked with). By the time he was thru with the lazy ***' behind the counter, they wouldn't know what to say. He told me he created quite a stink at the DMV office one time. I would have loved to see one of his throw downs in person.






Ferm, one thing you can't escape, there are some really stupid people out there, and most of thing cling to stupid ideas like their skin colors makes a difference,They always look for a reason to blame their own personal failures. It goes both ways. We can only hope the one child will be smarter than her surroundings and grow up to be a decent person, sounds like the rest of the family are a waste of oxygen. There was a black girl on the news page in Rock Hill, SC that was beat up by another black girl that didn't like her because she was too white and talked white. I skimmed thru the article and read the comments. i was pleasantly surprised by the number of people that supported the girl that got beat up, saying being smarter and better than your surroundings isn't anything to be ashamed of or worthy of being beaten. The girl that assaulted her had a history of violence and was arrested.

It's funny you bring up the one black giel beating up the other. The one sister quit playing with the other one after she played with my son. I guess it's like Ron White said, you can't fix stupid.

Ferm I would speculate that MAYBE the other child had other racist family members who influenced her more than her sister.... MAYBE the mom was just distrustful of strangers OR maybe she was raised in a racist black household or MAYBE her boyfriend or husband would beat her if he saw her looking to another man. OR MAYBE she just didn't like her child playing near people she didn't know but wasn't bold enough to say so OR maybe she was raised black, considered herself as a white skinned black and happened to also be racist...... It's pretty much impossible to understand all the dynamics of someone else's life without knowing them.... Heck MAYBE she hated you for some other reason you never even considered and the little girl maybe got her attitude from some other child she often played with.


I can tell y'all one thing... IF you think white children aren't ever brainwashed from an early age to hate "Fn N's" You have lived a sheltered life (NOT an insult!).... I've lived all over the mid-west, met people from all over the country and I work in the oil fields of the south west and have more than once been absolutely BLOWN AWAY with the hatred and outright brazen nastiness shown by what I thought were good people I had been working with on a daily basis for weeks or months...

Example:
A few months ago I was out to a steak dinner with 3 co workers and the wife and young children of one and cousin and sister of another when the whole group including the 4 or 5 year old boy got into a VERY loud discussion about F N this and that and "if a F N ever so much as looks at my little girl I'll fn kill him" and if she even speaks to him I'll beat her to a within an inch of her life. Keep in mind she was 6 and sitting right there and a black man wearing a uniform from the local dodge dealership was walking past with his 5 or 6 year old little boy when the little boy smiled and waved at our group of 8 or 9 people. These were people I had worked with and socialized with for a couple months and from 3 different families and two different states... I had NO IDEA previously they would act that way.... I finished my steak quickly and left.

I have heard similar things from white people now and again for my whole life. In the circle where I work I'd say that 60-80% of people consider blacks Fn N's and probably half of those are fairly polite to their faces while the other half will come right out and tel them as long as not too many witnesses are around... otherwise they are just cold and rude..... That said tho about 90% of black people I meet separate themselves from whites but then again if I were black and had heard the terrible things I as white person have heard other whites say I would probably be VERY distrustful of whites.....

Don't get me wrong... I have seen plenty of black against white racism too and while it MAY be more prevalent than white on black I certainly wouldn't say it was one sided at all.

The truth as I see it is that people as a rule are vile despicable creatures and there is only a minority among us (all races included) that deserves the air we breathe..... Sooo maybe white crimes are often different, Fact is that a a much too large percentage of humans will lie cheat steal or maybe even kill if given the chance to gain something if they think they can get away with it. Anyone who has seen children play especially when they think they aren't being watched knows that they are born to be ruthless..... Not long after they learn to walk they are fighting ,name calling, lying, stealing, breaking stuff out of spite.... even as they get older... You can tell them for their whole lives about dangers and honesty and trust but just one other kid says "sneak out tonight and meet me at...." and many kids, unless they are afraid will probably try it... Or "just tell your folks you're at...." And the lies just flow from their mouths.....
