Default Crisis averted!!!!!!!!

as some of you may know the LIRR was to strike this sunday morning for a fair contract. well, with the "help" of governor Cuomo we have reached a settlement. I was planning on getting a couple grand retro but with our new contract it looks like I may get quite a bit more. my plan was to go for zarkohl's boat and have a few bucks left over to get her water ready. as it stands now I may get as much as 5 or 6k. wont know until I know. may go for a 17 foot whaler or one of the big 3 17 foot centers with fairly new power.
it should take a good few months before I have cash in hand but my promise is that I will get each and every one of you involved in my purchase. as you know I like to do my research so that part of it will be exhaustive. maybe a decent V20 with good, reliable power.
anyway, hang on to your hats, gents...... because here we go again.

Charlie, when I heard that the LIRR was probably going to strike I got worried about you and your fellow rail polishers. I'm extremely happy that it's gotten settled and things are looking up for you. Congrats!!!!

well, my engineer did his own math today and his numbers aren't as hopeful as mine. I may be looking at 2 or 3 k. in any case it's gonna be a while. now I have no idea what the hell's going on.

also, last time my union settled a contract they assessed us each a thousand. hope that's not the case now.
