Default Slow cruise with the etec outboard....

Last Saturday, running in the mid 20's.....25 -27 mph at mid 3,000's rpm.......

That 200 HO Etec just purring along, quiet rumble.

Probably getting over 40 mpg, just like the Toyota Prius.
V21 range, likely close to 2,000 miles, so I can go out to the far canyons, or run down off Florida in search of Marlin, Tuna, and Swordfish....

Yup, and troll using the Zebco push buttons, filled to the top with 6 lb test mono.

I had a 404 back in the 70's. Can't say I miss the reel but those were great times.

Won a 202 at a raffle during a Detroit Tigers baseball game once. I was 10 yrs old and used it once before going back to my trusty Zebco 33.

I'm fairly impresed with you V web site guys - seem to get the jokes and such....

The Zebco's - yeh, that's right, I like to use em' for offshore trolling.
A four rod spread from my V21 - two in the wash, and two from the home made outriggers I made from PVC tubing.

Zebco color - doesn't matter, model, doesn't matter -all are top notch with a drag that can tire the biggest bluefin and blue marlin.

These Zebco's are a bit much for shallow water fluking, so for that I break out the Penn Internation 130's.

I like to put my international 130's through a true test - 1lb crappie fishing on the dock at the lake. Talk about drags screaming!!!! HAHA

Reely tho, impressed and jealous of the 200 etec. 3000 rpm barely planes me off in the low 20's w/ the 150 two banger yammi. I bet you aren't far off w/ you range numbers estimation....

You've got a real nice boat Blue Runner.

About the etec - I searched about a year to find a good used one, and so far, no issues.
Mine has low hours, but is still a 9 year old motor.

To find it, I searched private ads, dealers, used motor shops, on line etc.

The best used motor source I've used is ARG Marine, Florida.
No junk, no gimmicks, honest people.

I ultimately found my 200 HO by calling an Evinrude dealer on Long Island who had a customer trading it in for a new one, just because he had money to burn.

Now about that crappie fishing - did you strap into a fighting chair, or try and handle that fish standing up ?

Good job on finding that motor. We've got to get you set up to post pictures. I'm a good one to talk - I hardly ever post pics any more. Hoping that will change soon after I get a new phone.

Also, hope you are kidding about the crappie.....I don't know who in their right mind would try that on stand up gear. Nothing but strapped to the chair and hanging on for dear life!
