Default Fuel Tank specs '79 v20?

Hi, i'm new to this great site. I inherited the "family" boat(original owners of a 1979 steplift V20) and interested in replacing 48 Gallon fuel tank to keep her going strong. I've seen the nice specs on the 60 Gallon fuel tank in other threads, but does anyone have specs on a 48 Gallon? or something around 40 Gallons that will fit the space? Any additiona info on tank removal/re-install etc. is greatly appreciated.

Capt. Bri

Thanks for replying, but the 1979 has a 48 gallon tank. i found nice specs on this site for a 60 gallon, but wondering if there's anything similar on the 48 gallon tank?

Welcome to the site. Phatdaddy was asking because early V20's had saddle tanks mounted in their side gunnels. I'm sorry, I have no specs for you, but just wanted to welcome you to the site. I think my 78' V has the same tank as yours, but since there's nothing wrong with mine I've never had to consider replacing it. In all cases, welcome aboard.

I think moeller makes a tank that fits. I think someone else on here used one. Randleman maybe?
