doing away with the oil inj, system

first ---- its a 1988 150 black max mercury out board
i want t o do away with the oil inj, system. the reason is i replaced a check valve in her that was supposed to solve the problem the engine was getting to much oil and would not start, when i did get her running it would smoke alot[i mean ALOT] so i think im going to just add the oil to the gas but what and how do i eliminate the system
1st take the two tanks out
2-then what? i have alarm systems and im sure there must be hoses some where but i would love if i can get a step by step on how to do it
any help would be appreciated cause then i dont have to worry about valves and hoses and leaks
i still have alot to do to my baby but i will get it done
