Default V-20 Hull?

Hi All,

I am new here and been helping my buddy find his first boat. Hes really interested in picking up a V-20 cc. Came across this: http://hartford.craigslist.org/boa/3861794866.html

Doesnt look like a v-20 hull to me, but my research says that Wellcraft didnt make any other cc in 1991. Dont want to waste a trip to see a boat hes not interested in.

Any ideas if this is a V-20 Hull?

TIA for any input!

-Rich

thats what i was thinking, but the hull even on the 18ft looks more aggressive in all the pictures that i saw. i've been skeptical its even a Wellcraft.

will know for sure tomorrow between the HIN, CG Plate, and tape measure.

If anyone has anymore insight/expertise, please help me out =)

Thanks again!

Doesn't look like a Wellcraft or a V-20

the bottom paint plays tricks on your eyes. I don't know what brand of boat it is, the forward deck looks a lot like a 18 Wellcraft, the rest of the boat looks a lot like a Key West. Not a bad looking boat

1989 18ft Wellcraft. Took us about 45 seconds to thank the guy for his time and leave. Original power. No thanks...

Thanks for all the input on this!

Cool

If it's been maintained there's nothing wrong with original power or a boat that's built in 89. Hell, around here, some people think an 89 is "like new".

But obviously, an 18 is not what you're looking for, and $7500 is (to me) the high side on price. Still, take away those horrid graphics and it's not a bad looking boat.

Good luck with your continuing search. Keep us posted on your progress and don't be a stranger.

I agree with you completely that the 89, if maintained, possibly rebuilt could be a dependable motor and a decent purchase. However if youre advertising a 91 20 Wellcraft and i get there and its a 89 18 Wellcraft, my faith in the motor's 'maitenence' is beyond questioned.

Will not be a stranger, really hoping to find a v-20 soon!
