| missed coyote, have solution!!!

Well I missed a coyote lastnight due to having a handheld spotlight go crashing out of the tree stand. I have an old spotlight and im converting it over to a scope mount setup. I refuse to pay over a hundred dollars for one when I can make my own out of old parts laying around. The battery will be divorced off of the the light and gun for weight purposes and the spotlight will be cut all the way around right in front of the spotlights pistol grip. An old B-Square shotgun mount will be cut down to use the picatinny rail to bolt to spotlight, and then scope rings will be reversed so the 1" tube mount will mount to the scope. I ordered a pressure switch off of ebay and should get that in about 3 days. My 22-250 will be ready to bust some yotes here soon!!! |

I've got one I need to get rid of, just don't have anything with any reach out left around to do it(all I have left is a 22LR). He's gotten so bold he comes out during the evening now, and has been thinning out the neighborhood cats.

Well if you refer to the pic above you will see a bunch of scattered parts. I cut the spotlight housing and trigger grip down to lose the excess plastic and weight. these pics show the picatinny mounted to the spotlight, and the scope rings reversed to mount to the scope. this pic shows the spotlight charging. The switch you see between the battery and the spotlight is the trigger switch, it will be replaced with a pressure switch that I ordered off ebay that will be mounted by the grip of the rifle. the battery you see charging will be replaced by a old power wheels battery i have laying around for a spare for my daughters power wheel 4 wheeler the new battery will be will be connected to the spotlight with a 6 foot curly que chord. the battery will be divorced from the light and be stored in a bookbag. you'll probably need a relay..... If you mess around with R/C stuff, a LIPO batt would be SWEET... gobs of power but still lightweight.

It doesn't bother me as I'm allergic to cats and don't really care for them. BUT I live on family property and I'm the only dog person. Between my granfather, mother, niece, and neighbors, they have close to 30 cats. So it doesn't go over well with them when the house cats come up missing from there walks.
