|  Positive/ Negative lead what gauge? 
			
			I have a 135 HP evirude. I'm gonna be putting my batteries under my console. What gauge lead should I use to run about 8 foot?

			My leanth is much greater then yours, I used 4 gauge Tinned wire for marine use.  Got from a guy on ebay at a fair price. Went from transom all the way to cabin in the 23 foot Sea Ox and have 0 issues. Hope that helps

			For that size engine a 6 guage is teh minumum size to go with, but I would go with 4 or bigger myself. I believe in overkill.

			I'm pretty sure I used 2 AWG (don't think it was 2/0...not that I really know the difference) in my old 20' Grady when I moved the batteries under the console.  That was with a 150 Merc V6. That motor cranked so fast it nearly tore the transom off.

			gw, i went to buy a battery for an old mako i used to have and i told the guy i wanted one twice the reccomended cranking amps,  he said "This is the one you need, if the starter hangs up, it will flip the boat."
