Default ignition switch

Is it possible that my ignition switch is bad if my motor cranks with no spark to any cylinder and my emergency stop circuit is verified as being good?

the wire that sends the signal to the started and the wire that tells the engine to shut off are different, ignition switch could be the problem. it may be telling the motor that the key is off. im not sure if that circuit is supposed to be open or closed, but should be able to tell by probing the wires going to key switch and seeing wich one changes between key on and key off. check by the switch itself and again near the motor. if niether changes its your switch, if it just changes at the switch then its the wire. you see in the movies when they hotwire a car, they always twist the two wires together, thats to "turn the key on" then they spark the other wire to the power to send the signal to engage the starter.

Is it a inbd or outboard?

My inbd had a bad ign switch and I changed it but what I found out is I couldn't "hotwire" it. Someone a long time ago had wired it so when I shut the main electrical switch off it shut all power off to the dash/ign switch. When the main was on it still wouldn't let me hotwire it.
Friday we were out and it just died. I had no power to the dash or anything.
I found the hot wire going to the controls had broke. The previous owner wired it to go thru the controls prior to the dash/ign switch. The bad part was and is I can't find the other end going to the dash. I found the main red (hot)and black (grd) rolled up together. I traced them out and re hooked them back up to the batteries and then to the fuse panel.
The motor started right up.

I need to flip switches/trace wires and what's not needed in the fuse panel I need to pull out.

disconnect the black wire with the yellow stripe back at the engine, Thats the kill circuit. If you know how to jump the starter solenoid, just disconnect the main wire harness at the engine, jump the solenoid and see if it starts(or has fire)
