Default Won $9K w/7.5 lb Tuna!!

My buddy, Poe...used to run off w/me and Nick outta Charleston all the time...he's been spendin' lots of time fishin' w/some other guys from Spartanburg, who keep a sporty in Georgetown, SC between Myrtle Beach and Charleston...they fished two of a 3 day tourney last week and pocketed $9K w/a 7.5 lb tuna!!...that's tournament fishin for ya...another buddy of ours had the Cobia division wrapped up w/a 34 lber...then 5 MINUTES before cut-off, a 38 lber stretched the scale!!...

Don't know what it won, but it only took a 12 lber to sweep the Wahoo division...several grand at least...

I don't think my heart could handle gettin' back into tournament fishin'!!...

I know what you mean, a buddy & I spent the last day of the gulfport fishing rodeo in heavy seas, alone & catching the heck out of them. Running back we made a phone call, 5 fish in our boat would be on the board with two firsts! We got there an hour later just before closing & got 0 fish on the board.

I fished striper tournaments on all the big reservoirs around the SE and several offshore tourneys back when Nick and I were fishin' so much...I learned a whole lot about fishin', but the main thing I learned was that, for me it took all the fun outta fishin'...don't care to add the pressure aspect to something I love so much....same reason I decided not to be a Gigilo for a living...
