Default Adding temp gauge

As you guys may recall, I stripped my V down completely. Replacing the dash, I decided to go only with a tach and a water temp gauge. I picked up inexpensive teleflex models at west marine. The instructions for the temp gauge are not very thorough. While I understand ground, ignition, and light... what wire do I connect the the S terminal?

I think I have the tach correct - purple to I, black to G, grey to S - all coming in via a harness from the throttle control box. 1994 Evinrude 175HP, by the way.

Thanks,
Aaron

your tach wiring is correct. As for the temp sender you will probably have to buy a sender and install it to one of the cylinder heads. then run your wire to it.

Forgot to say thanks, Spare. Haven't got it fixed yet, but at least I have a plan.
