Default 85' V20 specs?????

Tryin to find hull weight for my 85' v20 fisherman. It has a closed transom w/ bracket and transom looks like it was made to house a stern drive as an option although this one was always o/b.

If any one knows or has a link to where I could find this info it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - Henry

Most likely it was a Seadrive when new and converted at a later date as a V20 never came with a bracket.

That was just what I was lookin for. Thanks. This one never had the seadrive installed so someone ordered it like that with the intention of adding the bracket I guess......

Don't care if it's a work in progress, those are the best ones.

Will do. Goes in for re-power on Friday so I'm pretty pumped. Its been sitting for 5 years!!!! I'll give you the story and pics of what I'm doing and more importantly re-doing, when I get it back. So far all the teak, canvas, B.S. and the B.S. livewell are out of the boat. Gettin ready to Sand/Cetol, clean/patch, throw away and burn in that order. I keep ya posted on the progress......

What you getting for power??

If you don't have trim tabs yet get them, you will be happy you did!!
With the bracket the motor sits back and adds weight further to the rear, tends to make the bow light causing to bang pretty good!

Been there done that, good luck

Ive got a brand new Yamaha F150.

Yea, speak of the devil! I am back and forth right now on wether to buy one the new Lowrance HDS or tabs. Boat NEEDS tabs but I WANT that Lowrance. Only thing is I can buy used tabs for $200-300 as opposed to new for $550. Its not too bad with a little tilt to keep it from porposing but I have a sneaking suspicion that when fully loaded(3500lbs) she's gonna be a little sluggish on the hole-shot and may have a hard time stayin up on the swell. Guess I have to wait and see.
-only one way to find out.......
Besides, she don't bounce with a full fishbox

will let you know how thry go. by the way, I got Bennetts 9 X 18 used for $200.00

I converted a I/O to outboard in 2004 and believe me you will need them!
Nice motor you are getting there I have a F225 Yammy and its great!! But they are hefty on the rear mine 600+ pounds!
On re power of the old boats i a;ways recommend ETec as they are a nice and the weight is great for the older boats that were never meant to carry these heavy motors. Even my 1984 23 footer yis a bit low in the water with that 4 stroke

good luck

Yea belive me they(tabs) are goin on that boat!!!!! I can get Bennets and Lencos at cost but used still comes in about $100-150 less.

There is only about 20-25Lbs discrepency between the Etec 150 and F150. I was surprised too. I looked at Etecs and used to be their biggest fan. The only problem I've seen with them is sensitive fuel injectors. I ride with Etec about every week and don't have many complaints. I do miss the smell however.........
