Default 18 Fisherman paint job

Started painting today. Got the first coat on and then rain started to move in quickly. After a short down pour the boat was wiped off and the second coat started to be applied......There was a bit to much moisture on the boat after the rain and some of the second coat didn't adhere as well as I would like.

There was a bit of orange peel, so the plan is to go over the boat with some 220 and apply another coat. My buddy Lance is the sprayer so we're gonna put any blame on him.

I still am happy with the results so far. I will update with more pics when it's done.

Me too! I came close to going with "Ice Blue" but I am happy with the yellow. I am planning on painting the blue, white with and anti-fouling. Mostly because of lazyness. It was so much work removing the bottom paint of the sides and back I could not imagine trying to get it off the bottom.

Got the boat finished up yesterday and I put my decals and thru hulls in today. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Cool numbers. They would not be legal here in New Jersey. We're only allowed to have block and slanted numbers, no script. But they are def neat. Paint job turned out awesome... you should be proud!! Well done sailor!!!

I ordered the reg #'s from eBay. I got both sets for $7 shipped. Really worth the $ considering the peel and stick letters that I would have to line up myself are more than that. As far as I know they are legal here, we'll see.

The paint is a single stage marine paint from xTreme Finishes, supposed to be comparable to Imron. It is very shiny.
