Ethanol Symptoms?????

Took the '89 V20 to a lake for a week. 1999 200hp Yamaha Saltwater Series. Gas in tank was from last season. It was treated. Put the boat in gear and it would not go, it would sputter out under load, felt like fuel problem. Put new water seperator and cleaned small filter on motor and she worked like a champ. Then the same symptoms all over again. Change filters, spray out carbs... runs good then farts out shortly after.

Ran the tank dry filled with fresh gas and same symptoms. Put it in gear would hesitate to go had to keep feathering gas and she would finally kick in. Clean carbs, filters. I did this about five times. I am thinking ethanol problem, any suggestions?
