Default Canadian biminis

Someone recently bought a bimini top from a Canadian company, which, I belive, is GMI. They have terrific prices on their biminis--$225 plus about $25 shipping, with a free boot, and made of Sunbrella. I am thinking of ordering one to replace my 1991 original bimini. Just want to know if you are happy with what you bought. I hesitate to go with one of these (even with optional zippers on the sides) because the rest of my 1990 factory enclosure pieces (windshield, side curtains and after curtain) are absolutely pristine, and I am concerned whether it would be more cost effective to have a canvas shop match the enclosure components to the new bimini or have a shop make a new, custom, bimini.

I have a GMI top and have been really happy with it over the last 2 seasons. I went with sunbrella and stainless hardware on an aluminum frame. They are great quality for the money, heres a link to pictures of my top when I installed it.

I went with them. Good for the money. Sunbrella canvas as well. Quite happy with it.

Many of the locals that I see after the fact have the hardware riveted on instead of using alen screws. Which one of mine was too loose from factory and my top fell apart on out first use, but after tightenning it's just fine.

If your hardware and accessories are fine and you have a top quality frame i'd go with the option of getting a canvas shop to just redo the canvas.

Just my 2 cents. I'm regretting doing mine instead of getting a local shop to do a hard top. But that's more $.

GMI can also fit your stuff to theirs or repair yours too, just ship your stuff to them. Look a little further into their site.
Please do get ALL stainless hardware, there is no place cheaper and better quality than what they sell, you won't be sorry.
Here is another thread.

Hey Mulv, do you recall the dimensions of the top you got from GMI?
