In case anyone had not read the fine print previously, I wanted to remind all of you who own boats that were 'used' or 'pre-owned' or 'previously enjoyed', about the Used Boat Owners Companion.
A must have in every toolbox/ tacklebox/ West Marine bag, etc (you get the idea), the Used Boat Owners Companion has no equal. Fulfilling many tasks, including, but not limited to the following:
It has 1001 and uses (I've figured out about 37 of them so far personally) and can second as a mirror for removing fiberlass strands from your eye after drilling holes in the cieling of your cuddy laying below. Please be sure you get one if you don't have one, and report on your successes!! ![]()

Looks like you missed the most obvious (to me) use for that "used boat owner companion" tool:
Bottle Opener!

sheez, tough crowd.
in my defense: I am known to be sipping beers while working on my boat. Don't think it would have been ready without the aide of beer. I certainly don't have glass drinking glasses, but have allowed sturdy beer bottles. I am not too worried about a good sam adams bottle breaking easily. But yea, normally it's cans. This is the same forum that scolded me for putting my beer down once when moving?

we drink cans so we can crush them(I have a crusher mounted to a stick that fits in a rod holder) so they don't take up as much room(easier to hide the evidence). We tend to go thru a lot when offshore fishin(long day), I even have a cup holder attached to my fishin belt so i won't have to set it down when reeling in a big one.
Oh, as a far as the scraper goes, I have several, they are great. Have ya'll seen the scraper that you stick in a sawzall? It gos in instead of a blade, I'm waiting to see if they offer a wires brush to fit in the sawzall. |

I tend to agree... In NJ drunken driving on the water earns you a loss of your land drivers license.. So I tend to carry only soda cans out onto the ocean.... But there's a cold Killian's waiting for me when I get home...
