Default Long Time

Well after the boat sat last year because of my wife's medical ordeal and losing both parents 4 months a part during the summer and fall. Last weekend we pulled the boat from storage drained out the 22 gallons of bad gas changed the fuel filter washed the boat and greased everything. Fired the 150 Merc up and it was running like crap, poppin' and snortin' would not rev or idle{ when we pickled it it ran fine} I suspected a bad wire and switched around a few to see if the cylinder would fire but that was not the case. Ran a compression test all 6 were 125-130psi. So I brought it to a local shop that deals in older outboards and the carbs were all varnished up and clogged and the internal fuel pump was bad. We are getting it back Saturday and I'll take it for a ride in a local lake the next week out to do some saltwater fishing, we need a saltwater license now here in Connecticut. I'm glad to be back.....Ted
