I run a 15 x 17 on my 150 but the first question that you might need to answer is: What RPM are you at when you are at top speed? From what I have read it is hard to know what prop to use unless you know what your engine needs to run smoothly. Almost forgot -- Welcome aboard. The guys around here can answer many of the quesions that you might have.

If you're revvin' to 6Gs then it's definately the wrong prop...somebody w/more I/O experience will be along soon to steer ya on that wish I could tell ya more about what prop...but generally to improve one end of the performance grade, you gotta give up a little on the other end..good luck w/it either way and keep us posted on what ya do w/the '78...sounds like a HOSS!!... Pictures if ya can...

Nice man cave! You should have put "Caution: Naked V20" in your post. LOL!! Looks like a great project you have going! A lot of people on here wouldn't mind following your progress on the restore - me included.

Maybe you can find someone who is willing to loan you their's so you can see what a 19 or 21 will do for you. Good luck.
