Default Ocean Pro/Runner vs Non Pro/Runner

What's the difference? I have a 2000 Johnson 150 regular and didn't realize they even made a Oceanrunner that year. Anything I need to keep an eye on that isn't stainless steel?

Mostly badging, some OCEANRUNNERS did receive an extra ZINC or two on em. Other than that no differences, except the initial price.

while on the topic, I too have a 150 oceanrunner [1992] it also says on the motor cover [in fancy lettering] "silver star series".....any guesses as to what that means?

I have a 1994 Military issue (it was made for the military) 150 johnson. We found this out when I needed a small part and they could trace the model number. I was told that it was geared stronger and had several up grades to make it a stronger motor. Of course that could all be BS.

On many Johnson/Evinrude motors they had a commercial series. Just don't know what sizes and years this went on.
