Default last of the flukey!

went out with my fishing bud, Jeff, on his sweet Maycraft 2550 for the last run on the fluke before the season closes this coming week.

The fluke have moved out into deeper water, 65-80 feet a few miles out. At least the keeper ones have(over 18 inches) you can have your fill of 15-17 inchers all day long inshore.
Had a strong wind out of the south which made it very difficult in the deep. Showed Jeff how to power drift stern to to hold bottom and it worked sweet for him with me at the helm. He pulled in a sweet 6lber and we both got into a bunch of keeprs and a boat load of sea bass, only three of them were keeper size though.
A good day, cigar warm water and air and fish all day.
I was glad for the warm water (72) as Jeff manged to pick up someones cut off power pro in his prop, I donned a life jacket and tied up and went in and spent about fifteen minutes bobbing and weaving trying to avoid the hull and outdrive crushing me in the four foot swells to get it all out.
He owes me a big one there.

dont know MJ, I will ask him next time.I have seen them for sale in some of the boating shops like West Marine etc, I just wear my Sperry's I have worn for years until it gets cold, then I wear my boat boots, about ten inches high and waterproof and good anti-slip soles. Cheap at West etc.

Thanks willy I have to keep my feet dry all the time cause of my diabetes, and the boots chaff the leg when wearing shorts, and the few short boots I have seen or used either poor quality or lasted like crap, so I am always on the hunt.

Thanks CB that does look like them,. and by what they say they sound good!

Nice job Willy.

But I must say, a retired guy should have a much better tan on his legs by now.
