Default Hull Back In One Peice...

Just finished re-attaching cap to hull...previous owner's rigger replaced rub-rail and did pi$$-poor job...you could actually lift the cap off the hull :o...anyway, removed rub-rail, drilled out all rivets, removed all other attachments, took jack and blocks under cuddy and up she went! Ran 3/4"x1 1/2" Starboard strips around inside of hull with counter-sunk #10 screws(SS)...dropped the cap back down and installed 100 or so of same screw catching Starboard strip. but not torking down...unloaded 4 tubes of 3M 4200 around gap between cap and hull, let cure then torked all the screws...she TITE now!...re-attached rub-rail w/another 100+ screws an' now I are a fishinman agin!... ;D

Moral of story: man who buy used boat w/out liffin' up on rub-rail could be in for a lot of screwin' ::)

Moral of my story: man who buy used boat w/out checking springs on trailer in for a lot of screwin' too!

After a couple days worth of screwin' I was able to get the 4 leaf springs off my trailer. 2 of em where half broke in two. Funny how I didn't notice that till I brought er home. The bright side is, while I've got these 2 axles off to replace the springs, I'm gonna replace the bearings and bearing buddies. Not to mention get a good coat of paint on all of that stuff.

When I'm done the 79 model trailer will be good as new. The galvanized part is already in excellent shape. I also bought a new wench.

I won't be afraid to drag er down the road!

Blue

Hey Blue_Runner, I have some Stainless Berrin Buddy's with caps. I bought them for my new trailer that has a different type of system and I don't need them.

They are brand new never used!! I think I payed almost $50 with the shipping. I will let you have them for $20 + shipping.

They have been opened but not used!! I have all 4 for both axles.

They are Model # 1980A-SS and fit, *1.980 in Hub

Just let me jnow if you want!
