Default Standard Horizon no longer producing chart plotters....

The back panel connecting arm to base on my Standard CP190i broke off so I contacted Standard for repair.

Told that they're going out of the chart plotter business, but supporting existing customers for several more months.

I sent my unit out to their California repair site for new back panel.
My experience has been the base to unit connection sections are too light / not robust enough to support the unit over long term use.

The single tightening screw design isn't great either, can't make it too tight in fear of breaking so the unit tends to come look and flop around on the base. It's made to be moveable / adjust the angle which is nice, but it's not close to commercial grade.

Question

Wonder if someone could make one or at least some kind of support out of aluminum?
