| New to forum and Wellcraft owner

Hi, I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a 1989 Wellcraft 20 fish that has a 1997 150 HP Ocean Pro on it. I really like the way the boat rides and all the storage. The engine was going into safe mode after a few minutes of running and I found out the port side was overheating, changed the thermostat, same problem, I remove the thermostat and the engine runs great. I'm not sure if I need a new water pump or where the o-rings are needs to be cleaned. There are some things I plan to do, I have already changed out all the toggle switches and have everything working except the livewell located in the console because the pump does not work. I plan to work on the mid section flooring and layer up fiberglass as there are some soft spots. Eventually want to add a T-Top as well. I have 2 questions: Can someone explain how the livewell works? There is remote drain control that and a valve, there are 2 hoses from the pump, one heads straight to the front and the other is split, one to the front and one to the valve. Does anyone know of someone that may have a hull of this year that would sell parts? I need the hatch lid for the first storage compartment at the bow, the deck hatch lid at the bilge access and the port aft hatch lid. Thanks ahead for any response and help, I appreciate it! |
