Default Top Shots

Destroyer was RIGHT!!...he steered me to an Ebay top seller and I went for it...happily I can tell you this is a REEL good buy...delivered to my door, shipping and all-$133...

And this is no cheap crap...well designed and made...was concerned at first about snap-together bow, but then impressed by how well they're done...tight and secure...fittings are heavy plastic that should hold up for years...Thanks, Destroyer!!...

And here are a few update shots on how the '84 project is coming along...

The strip on the dash centered above the wheel is velcro for mounting the iphone...w/the Navionics app up, I can dedicate the whole screen on the Lowrance to studying what's happenin' under the boat...12 volt plug-in located to power the phone so no worries about battery running down...

And got the swim platform off the old '74 mounted the other day...

It's comin' along...and again, thanks to all who have had a hand in "REEL Deal"...

Hey Spare...gonna try go do some trollin' for stripes tomorrow...you might as well know!!...

Looks great!

hmmm, very tempting. I have a bimini that I never use because it is the low type that buttons onto the windshield. I am too tall for it and don't like having to look out the windshield only. I keep it with me in case I run into weather. Its in great shape, great quality and has the side windows.

But maybe I should get this one for 133?

oh crap, just realized it probably wouldn't fit with my arch :(

oh, well, great find! Great work Destroyer!

sorry for the rambling...

Reel looking good man. Tell me about your tranny mount trolling motor. What make/model, thrust? Is it regular tiller control or foot pedal? How is it compared to the bow mount you had?

It's just a little 30lb thrust Minn Kota I found on CL...it does the job, but no comparison to the bow-mounted 70-80 lb units...WHOLE LOT easier to control w/the motor on the bow than on the tranny...easier to pull instead of push....plus w/the wireless remotes on the bow mounts, you can be anywhere in the boat...here I'm at the tranny ALL the time...I just ain't got the bucks it takes to bow mount right now and this'll do the job till I can...but it's puttin' stripes in the boat, so here I go!!...

I'm sorry - was this a post about the sun shade ?

All I see is the 200hp Merc that likely pushes that V to well over 60 mph.

All these guys with hot rod V boats, leaves the rest of us with 100, 140, 150hp outboards
to putter along .......

Where's the guy who installed an inboard producing around 350 hp ?
All that rig needed was trim tabs to control the porpoising.
What did that run......... 75 mph ?

Looks good reel!
RKC i had a top like yours on the v and the sea ox when i got them, it was the first thing gone!! you will love the stand up! maybe you can bolt the top on the arch? i have seen that before.

here was my cure for the seat hitting back of knees

or i just turn the sear to face the rear and use as a leaning post, it was a little tight for a 340 pound guy, but i just got weighted today and i hope it will be better now that i am 188!

Reel, the new V is coming along great. I always look forward to your project posts. They always show alot of ingenuity.

MJ, What brand is that seat? I would love to have one of those on my Aquasport. I almost always stand when I drive and hate having the seat hit me in the back of the legs.
