| Lobster season

Well we went out for mini-season, but didn't have much luck. Went again last Saturday to 105' depth and found a few. The big one is a Florida Spiny, much bigger than average. The ugly looking ones are Spanish Lobsters, or Slippers, which we got 11 of. No pinchers on these like you guys have up north. Overall, a good day.

Now that's a lobster! Nice Catch. Do them slippers taste the same? Last edited by joe7670; 08-18-2011 at 03:36 PM. |

Wow! How do those slipper lobsters cook up? I haven't had the pleasure yet. My dad used to call sheephead "poor man's lobster meat". You got both in one dive. Awesome!

I'm told the slippers are just as good. I saved a few and only cooked the spiny, which fed three plus leftovers. I'll report on the slippers after eating em. Hope to get a few more tomorrow.
