Default First Trip!!

She followed me home from NJ back in July...just about Christmas and she's far enough along for an actual fishin' trip...we didn't catch much...small stripes, one good hybrid ans some largemouth that were in the schools...birds flyin', loons diving and fish bustin' the top all over...heavy cloud cover all day and a little drizzle..PERFECT day for striper fishin' on Lake Hartwell

Breakfast of Champions!!...

Was GREAT to be cruisin' across the water at the wheel...this boat is performing reel well...32 mph @ 4400 rpms w/50 gals fuel, two old fat farts, 30 gal bait tank and gear, so I'm pretty happy about it...hops up on plane quickly...feels LIGHTER...the advantage of more HP!!...ran WAY up the Seneca River toward Clemson...put lotta miles on it intentionally and real pleased to see fuel gauge only mildly affected...I'm warmin' up to this Merc REEL quickly...lightweight and efficient w/plenty juice for the V!!...no complaints from here!!...

Two cans of Vienna Sausages negates the affect of a single bananna IMO. Glad your back on the water. Which prop are you running?

Sweeeet!!!!! I really like that livewell/rod holder setup on the deck where you have it. Is that Lowrance unit the newest Elite series? I've seen they are phasing out the HDS series. How do you like it?

Thanks, CB...the bait tank in the middle works pretty good...realized pretty quick I don't like rods up in middle while fishing/casting, so they went under the gunwale...OK for running though...The Lowrance isn't HDS...color screen has plenty of definition and holds while running as well...I like it a lot!!...

Spare...you are RIGHT!!...Nick would go BALLISTIC over bananas on the boat!!...LOL!!...

The 19 seems to be THE one...empty it's gettin 5700 on the tach...hopin' once the bottom is smooth, that number will edge up a bit...the 17 woulda sent the tach over 6000 and I didn't want that...

It's all good!!...
