Need Yamaha part or new Engine!
so I finished all of my "planned" winter projects for the boat and went to take it out for the first time and have a new issue...
My 89 Yamaha 130 is choosing when it wants to and doesn't want to start....apparently my CDI unit is failing....it is randomly not sending voltage to the coils. long story short...I either need to find a used CDI unit somewhere....spend 500-600 bucks for a new CDI unit....or buy a new engine
