| Getting rid of old fuel

Hey guys, I'm trying to get my dually ready to sell, but before I do, I'm thinking I should drain the gas tank and put some newer gas in her before trying to start the motor... I have about 15 gallons of premixed gas in the tank; any ideas of how to dispose of the gas? I get my water from a well, so dumping it in the back won't work I'm just kidding boys, don't send the green people after me :-)

I had two 6 gal tanks out of that old boat I had, I gave it to the Bomb Squad and they blew em up. Check with your city/county, they may have a "household hazardous waste" disposal program.....ours is free here.

The lawnmower won't care if it's pre-mix or not, I run my old pre-mix through ours all the time. Just mix it half and half with fresh gas and go for it in the mowers. As for your car, I wouldn't. I've seen cat converters fail from the oil in it.

MJ, it's about a year and a half old and I can't remember if I put Stabil in it or not, so I probably didn't (but there's a possibility I did...). We can't burn brush out here; I live in the people's republic of Maryland. It has two stroke oil in it, otherwise I'd buy some containers and save it for the lawn mower and give some of it away to neighbors for their mowers...
