| Ruff at idle

My 1986 225 hp Evinrude sees to run much to ruff at idle?? I mean my electronics even shake on the dash! Just give it a little gas I am fine to go! I think my Tac is off by some? But it reads 900 at idle but then I get 6ooo at WOT. I know get a good tac and be sure its right, But I don't have he cash right now, and I can tell right out that motor is not at 1000 at idle! Starts perfect!! and all day its like a light switch!! you don't even hear the starter, Its Bam and its running! So you think it just a idle higher or lower problem, or something else? Thanks guys! Going to bed now, up at 2:30 am for fishing!!

The early loopers do idle ROUGH! My 85 140 sounded like a drag car at idle when I first got it. Try dropping your idle down a touch to see if that helps. The other option would be to try a set of composite reeds to smooth out the low speed airflow. Also need to make sure your throttle blades are all closing at idle. Not many people take the time to go through and set these things up right when they work on em. I finally started my 200 today after the rebuild and them BOYESONS REALLY smoothed out the idle. It would shake the boat to pieces idling before, and now I can't hardly feel it running. SURE CAN HEAR IT THOUGH!
