ok got the steering fixed got the boat home went to trim down the engine and the selenoid went
i bought a knew one should be an easy job but the bolts that hold the selenoid are in back so you cant get to then its a 1988 150 mercury outboard how do you get the selenoid out im looking for help fishing is just around the corner something that should be easy has me scratching my head

do you have two on the back of your engine next to the voltage regs?

Ive got the same motor and year you do, my trim down solenoids going to you have to hit it a couple times with it clicking then it works, another thing to replace, by the way how much are they.

24 to 26 dollars but how do you get it out
the mounting bolts are facing back

ok let me explain were its located its behind the sound barrier that covers the carbs did anyone ever take it off that thing that looks like tubes its a sound something
