Default Sausage cheese dip

Ingredients:
1lb. hamburger
1lb. bulk sausage, hot or mild you choose
1 med size jar salsa, med or hot
1 2lb. block velveeta cheese or food lion cheese please
Crumble hamburger and sausage in large pot or crock pot (faster in large pot)
Cook on med high, stirring constantly until done and crumbled into very small pieces, drain off grease
Add jar of salsa and heat for about 5 min on med stirring constantly
Slice off cheese and crumble in, heat throughly , steadly stirring until all is melted .
scoop with corn chips of your choice ( we use Tostitos Scoops)
*** Really good with some chopped jalapeno peppers added into dip to heat it up!
and a big Draft Beer!

My wife makes a very similar dip, and it is very good. She also makes something she calls "polish mistakes." The polish mistakes are basically the same stuff, but without the salsa and with some spices to your taste. You take the mixture, which will be pretty thick, and put it on top of the little party rye bread slices. You then put them on a baking sheet and pop them into the oven until they are brown. These also freeze real well, and you can take out a bag of them and pop them in the microwave for quick hors d'eurves.
