| Trim Control Power.

Ok, First off I would like to thank everyone for all the help so far. Your posts have been indespenisble in fixing some of my issues. Boat is coming along nicely, in the mechanics department, haven't even begun to work on cosmestics yet. Anyways....... Replaced the Solenoid on the Hydraulic pump. Got a wiring schematic for the Trim system. Everything looks connected correctly. Hit any of the three buttons on the dash and nothing happens. Battery is good and there is power going into new solenoid for hyrdaulic pump. I was told if I crossed the blue or purple wire on the back of the switch with a power wire, the stern drive should move up or down depending on which wire I crossed with power. I crossed the blue (UP) with power and the solenoid made 1 click noise (this happened with 2 different solenoids). I crossed the purple (UP/OUT)wire with power and absolutley nothing happened, not even a click. I also tried with the green wire (IN) and got the same results as the purple wire, nothing. So far the only I can get out of the system is a single click from the selonoid when crossed the blue (UP) wire with power. Any Ideas? Also, what does a Normally Closed Reverse Inter-lock Switch do? This part is listed on the wiring schematic. On Monday I will post a PDF file of the schematic in my gallery. Thanks in advance |
